Oh yes I could use a laugh, like many of us I’m sure. I up at 5 with my husband and the dog, who just went back to work after a month not working, the fact that I survived with my husband home a month entitles me to at least a little laugh. Although now he’s gone and we do miss him so I want to cry and that means I need a good laugh. I have all boys in my house, 4, which makes me want to pull out my hair on days they decide to battle in the house with swords so I definitely need a laugh on those days. I also started teaching a group of 8th grade homeschoolers logic, latin, algebra, debate, science and writing. The logic alone hurts my brain, I really need a laugh. No cable but we do have a box so any tube time we get comes from a disk, but since they cost we don’t have many new ones, I’m ready to hide the Gilligan’s Island because we watch it over and over, so I really need a new laugh, because Giligan isn’t funny anymore. Make me laugh please. Thank you for considering my desperate request.

With 5 children and a goofy hubby we are always laughing and Tim Hawkins certainly knows how to make us laugh! “A merry heart does good like a medicine!”

I have been serving as an interim pastor for over 10 months, after my Youth and Music Ministry position was cut due to financial concerns. An interim pastor is a “fill-in” until the church finds another. While I believe this is where God wants me at this time and trust Him to provide, there is still a great amount of uncertainty and anxiety that the devil likes to bring up to encourage doubt. Tim’s humor definitely encourages laughter, which is the best medicine.

We just learned about Tim Hawkins & he is HILARIOUS!!! I love good clean humor that gives a good side-splitting laugh. We have 4 small children, ages 1 to 6. Last year I was diagnose with thyroid cancer. After a radioactive iodine treatment I had to be away from my children for 8 days which was one of the hardest things I have ever done. At the end of that 8 days before I got home, my 4 year old daughter fell off the top bunk & hit her head on the dresser on the way down. She had bleeding IN her brain, skull fractures in her cheek bone, the whole socket behind her eye was shattered, and up to her hairline was fractured. She was airlifted to Children’s Hospital. Praise the Lord she walked away without any permanent damage. Only by God’s grace. After that I totaled my husbands car. 2009 was an extremely difficult year for our family. All of this led to my husband’s and my salvation! God is so good. =)

Oh boy, could our family use a laugh. Last year Jan 2009, my husbands salary was cut and bills piled up, I started working 2 jobs. My first Job is my passion, I am a childrens ministry director for my church!! My hubby tried time after time again to get another job with no luck. So I received a job working part time for Target. I hated to be away from my family in the evenings and weekends but did it only to support them. My husband is an amazing man and works so hard. Its now a new year and he has a new job prospect in the works. My family means everything to me and we LOVE to laugh. Tim Hawkins is our favorite!! Including my 16 yr old daughter!!! We have watched all his clips on You tube and we were planning on going to his concert coming up here in Missouri (Wentzville) but with no extra money.. no show. Sorry I babbled forever!! We just need a GOOD LAUGH! Like God said in his word “Laughter IS the BEST Medicine!!” :)

My mother had Rheumatoid Arthritis and was still walking, but severely deteriorated. My husband, three children and I lived with my parents in order to help them. In August of 2008, I tripped and fell into my mother in our back yard. It broke her neck and for the next four months she laid in a hopital bed as a complete quadrapalegic. She got off the ventilator once and had congestive heart failure. They could not get her off the ventilator a second time and her body functions were shutting down. We made the very difficult decision to shut it off and she went home to be with our Lord and Savior. I know this seems like a very dreary tale, but God is so good and faithful. He carried me through this last year and has healed me in a place in my heart that I was sure would never heal. I have left my job as a teacher at a Christian school to homeschool my two youngest children and take care of my father. God is so good and has brought us through a horrible year. We could use a few good laughs and we love Tim Hawkins. If you would consider me I would be truly greatful. God bless you all!

We are a military homeschool family. We have been homeschooling for a long time but with 3 moves in the last 3 years we have forgotten a little how to just relax and laugh! A good family night with this movie would be so nice! You know…trying to get re-adjusted so often has taken a toll on the family and while we are totally sold out for God and homeschooling ( it became our lifestyle 16 years ago) this last move has thrown us for a loop.We love Tim Hawkins and would like to spend an evening just enjoying his humor.
Thank you so much and God bless you!

We LOVE Tim Hawkins (especially my 12 year-old son). He watches his concerts on You Tube.

Wow, there are some amazing stories here! As much as I would like the DVD, my son loves him, I would gladly relinquish it to someone less fortunate than myself. We do have a tight budget & lost a vehicle so we are down to one & are stranded at home a lot more than we would like, but God has blessed us in so many other ways. Thanks!

With finances in question (husband is realtor in struggling market), father who is deteroriating before our eyes and a mom, while taking care of him full time, is depressed and very negative, we are surrounded by ‘low clouds’ and all really in need of laughter. We’ve loved the Tim Hawkins clips we’ve seen on youtube and would relish his full performance!

We’re pregnant with our third. It’s been the toughest pregnancy so far. I’ve been wiped out. My heroic husband has been picking up lots of slack. It would be fun to enjoy a relaxing family night laughing together.

I am a homeschooling mom of 6, and the wife of a long haul trucker who is gone from home all but approx 1-2 days per month. I would love to win this prize package as a gift for him. I could go on & on about how hard I have it here at home, homeschooling & maintaining the home as a “part-time single parent”, but in reality, my husband has it much harder than I do. I get to enjoy the comforts of home, fresh homemade meals, a porch to sit on & watch the sunrise or sunset as our children play on the trampoline or traipse through the woods exploring what God has made. I get to hear the their giggles & laughter, and experience the look on their faces when something finally clicks in their brain while doing their schooling. I get the joy of simple things like watching & listening to the birds in the trees or the mother deer with her spotted youngster outside my window when I awaken each morning. I get to fellowship with friends at church with our children each week, and worship together as a family (usually minus Dad of course), and all the little things we take for granted like a daily shower, a hug or tender touch, a soft warm bed, and the ability to choose our own schedule.

My husband on the other hand sleeps by himself in a shivering cold (or if summer, a sweltering hot) 7X7 ft “doghouse” night after night with little to do. I cannot imagine, being a sanguine, as my husband is, going all month long without a simple loving human touch, or the fellowship of a like-minded, God honoring soul. I cannot imagine having to read the same books over & over for entertainment until I can get home for a change of library resources. I cannot imagine dealing day in & day out with perverse, foul-mouthed, negative, grouchy men sitting in the truck stops, breathing in that smoggy, diesel tasting air, impatiently waiting for another load to haul or roads to reopen following foul weather closures, watching the same movies or news clips over & over again, using public showers (when they’re available & cheap), competing for the use of laundry facilities once again, eating unhealthy fattening food on the run (the same nasty, nearly-expired meals day after day), and trying to fulfill a Godly fatherly role via telephone from afar! I cannot imagine having to deal with the temptation of answering the invitation of men & women alike knocking on my “bedroom door” propositioning for the physical human contact God put within a man’s basic human needs, and yet remaining 100% faithful to my spouse. I cannot imagine having to drive in horrible weather conditions whether I felt safe in it or not, because the load must deliver on time. I cannot imagine all that my husband deals with out there as he pounds out mile after mile of the now boring highways & byways, day after day, month after month, year after year. Yet, he does it, sacrificially, rarely with a hint of complaint, and somehow he finds places of humor throughout his daily activities. He does it because he loves us, and he wants to provide for us. And yet, in his gentle, understanding way, he still tells people *I* have it harder than him here at home, taking care of his children, keeping his side of the bed warm for him, and holding down the tarp on the fort so it doesn’t blow away in the wind. It is for this Godly, unselfish man I love, admire, and respect greatly, that I hope to win the Tim Hawkins Comedy package. I want to bring a little extra laughter to his sanguine soul when he’s far from home on those dark lonely nights. (And if he wins, I’ll put it in his luggage without telling him, so he’ll find it a few days down the road… about the time he probably wishes he could turn the truck around & come home for good.) Thank you for the chance to bless my husband with this drawing.

My husband and I run a Recovery Ministry for life controlling behaviors. We work with people on an individual bases, helping people to learn how toovercome that thing that is destructive in their life and to learn to live victoreously.
We also hold a Monday night meeting for men and women to have a place of support. Our 18 & 14 year daughters work with the children of the men and women who attend. Teaching them life skills as well as communications skills. We are very busy helping others at all hours of the day.
However our family sets Friday nights aside for Family night where we play games, watch movies or read to each other. This is our time to breath, laugh and reunite.
Laughing gets us ready to go out and be an encouragement to others.
    Laughing truly is good medicine.
    Have a blessed week.
