The Astronomy Book: Soars through the solar system targeting middle-school through junior-high levels.  Acquire a wealth of knowledge on subjects such as supernovas, red shift, facts about planets, and much more.

The Fossil Book: The exciting story of fossils: How were they formed? Where are they found? How old are they? How are they extracted? I’ve been homeschooling for 4 years and I just couldn’t seem to find a comprehensive, hands on Science Program until I came across A Reason For Science. Since I’m not a fan of science coming across this curriculum was a real blessing. It’s easy to understand and fun at the same time.

My favorite homeschool science resource is Apologia Science texts. My daughter loves Dr. Wile’s conversational writing style. Science has become one of her favorite subjects!

Science is a favorite of my 2 children and we have used a lot of resources in the past 9 years of schooling. My favorite resource is the near by NASA base and local Wildlife preserve. Both places have tons of free material about space, space exploration, variety of wildlife programs and knowledge people who love talking to children about their passion.

We love the Aplogia Science books because they have beautiful pictures, but mainly because God is shown to be the creator of all that we are learning about.

We’ve been homeschooling for 4 yrs now and I still haven’t found a Science that we LOVE. This year we are working from A Beka’s Exploring God’s World, as well as, Switched On Schoolhouse for my older daughter. My favorite thing about the A Beka is that it teaches that God created the world. I love being able to teach this core truth to my children.

Wow what a great giveaway! I guess I would have to say I do not have a favorite although we do use a lot of Answers in Genesis publications and many of the resources suggested in Robin Sampson’s A Heart of Wisdom Science Unit Studies(Creation, Light, Energy, & Motion) Actually Wonders of Creation are in the resource guide for HOW. The internet is also a great resource, but 2 of my boys would probably say catching bugs, having pets, making kitchen experiments, & collecting rocks.

As far as a curriculum, we use ABEKA for reading about science and my oldest uses SOS. The kids enjoy reading the ABEKA books and any more that we find at the book store and library that interests them. But the very best we’ve found so far is just looking around and talking about anything we find interesting. If we want to know more and we don’t have the books, we use other resources like the internet or other knowledgable people. What a fun way to learn science!

I use a hodgepodge of books including, Christian Liberty Press Books (Our Father’s World, God’s Wonderful Works – which I consider a nice intro for young children) but, I am in need of a more comprehensive science curriculum that go more in depth.
